Terms of use
Updated on October 30, 2026.
These terms are those of the World Achievements app (PC and phone) and of its online service, published by Maxime Perrin (see the legal notice). By creating an account, you accept them.
1. The service
World Achievements brings together the achievements and trophies of your gaming platforms and helps you earn them. Most of it is free; an optional subscription, World Achievements VIP, adds comfort and rewards (see the terms of sale). It is in beta: features may change, be added or removed.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 15 years old, or have a parent’s consent.
- An account needs an email address and a password. Keep your password to yourself: what is done with your account is done in your name.
- You can delete your account whenever you want (Settings › Accounts › “Delete my account”, or see here).
3. Your platforms
You link your platform accounts yourself (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox…). Some are read through access those platforms did not make for World Achievements (the app says so: “unofficial access”): you remain responsible for respecting their own terms. World Achievements may stop reading a platform at any time. What it already imported stays in your library.
4. What you publish
Your texts, pictures, messages and votes remain yours; you allow World Achievements to show them to other players in the app, as long as they are there. Forbidden: anything illegal, hateful, violent, sexual or harassing, anything revealing someone else’s private life, spam and advertising, copying someone else’s work without their consent, and anything used to cheat against other players.
5. Reporting, and what is decided
- Any content can be reported from the app (“Report”) or to contact@worldachievements.com: say what is at stake and why. This is also the point of contact for authorities.
- Content against these terms or the law may be hidden or removed, and an account limited or suspended; content reported by several players may be hidden automatically in the meantime. The person concerned is told and given the reason.
- You can contest a decision at contact@worldachievements.com: it is reviewed by a person.
6. What the app does on your PC
To track your achievements, the app reads your games’ files (their saves, their achievement lists, their code) without changing them. When it offers to bring back a copy of a save or to create one, it writes it separately (a free slot, a copy), never in place of your files unless you ask, and keeps a copy of what it replaces. With “My saves”, which you turn on yourself, it sends a copy of your games’ save files and only puts a version back if you ask (or chose “Resume by itself”), keeping aside what it replaces. This service helps you pick a game up again and does not replace your own copies. An achievement “unlocked by World Achievements” is unlocked in World Achievements, not on the platform.
7. Liability
World Achievements is provided as is, with no guarantee that it is always available or error-free; the information it gives (an order of achievements, a condition, a rarity) can be wrong. It is not responsible for what platforms do nor for the games themselves. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
8. Ownership
The app, its name, its logo, its texts and its drawings belong to Maxime Perrin. Games, their names, pictures and achievements belong to their publishers. World Achievements is not affiliated with any platform.
9. Changes, governing law
These terms may change; an important change will be announced in the app, and the date at the top changes. They are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write first to contact@worldachievements.com to find a solution.
